Walx Preston News 08/12/19

Welcome to Walx Preston.

We have rebranded from Nordic Walking Preston to Walx Preston as of the 1st of December.

If you love computers and social media you’ll sympathize what a lot of work still has to go into changing everything around on all the accounts. If like me, you don’t, you’ll appreciate why I have much less hair than previously.

2019 Nordic Walking Preston Christmas meal

Thank you to everyone who was able to turn up. It was a wonderful day.

The location worked well. The food was good. The presentation was short. The technology worked…to a fashion. The drinks were flowing. The team were great. The guests were amazing. The after party was…well, we’ll not got there.

We are already visioning a much bigger and better celebration of the end of the first year of WALX PRESTON for 12 months down the line. Date coming soon.

Quick tip on how to get through the dark, wet, dreary winter months. Have a solid plan of walx and parties for the 12 months ahead to look forward to. We are enjoying planning them. We are looking forward to you joining us on them.

Monthly Membership

Now as Walx Preston we have made the decision to make the monthly membership even more affordable for you.

The new monthly price is £19.

As a “club” we feel we offer much more than just our walx. It’s the fun, the friendship, and the community that counts. We encourage you to sign up to our club by joining the monthly membership, and of course joining us regularly on our walx.

The monthly membership allows you access to all the weekly walks, the monthly Explorer walx, and a walk a month with other WALX/NWUK partners around the country.

Our Walx Guide Steph will be launching a new Sunday walx soon.

Our other Walx Guides are preparing additional walx for the 2020 schedule also.

This is in addition to the regular Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening, and Friday and Saturday morning walx you are accustomed to.

We are also recruiting for our team. If you aspire to help others achieve better health, fitness, fun and happiness and would like to receive training as a Walx Guide then please get in touch. If you are a wellbeing professional in the wider Preston area then we have some interesting opportunities to speak with you about. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
